The mission of the Disciples Christian 
Church Youth Ministry
is to enable today's youth to be the Christian leaders of tomorrow.
We have two Youth Groups at Disciples: Chi Rho for those in grades 6th and 7th grades and CYF (Christian Youth Fellowship) for those in grades 8 through 12.
Chi Rho and CYF - Our Youth Groups Have Three Goals:

Education - Our CYF youth meet weekly on Sunday m
ornings at 11:15 to study Jesus' word and how it applies to their lives. Pastor Tim facilitates the class and leads them through the curriculum. Our Chi Rho youth meet at the conclusion of Young Disciples' Moment during worship with Pastor Tim. - Outreach - Our youth are strongly focused on Outreach. They are involved in an organization called PeaceJam which has ten Nobel Peace Laureates who show teenagers around the world how to actively
make change, both locally and globally. Our PeaceJam Club now meets on the fourth Sunday during CYF hour.
- Fun - We do all kinds of fun things - from apple picking in the fall, to ice skating in the winter, to a trip to Cedar Point in the summer. We also love to just spend afternoons in our own game room playing ping pong and foosball.
Our Annual Mission Trip 
Each summer the youth of Disciples Christian Church go on a mission trip. Some have taken us far from home; some have been right in our own back yard. All have given our youth an unforgettable 
combination of spiritual growth and worship, and the opportunity to work with friends, gain valuable knowledge and discover a genuine appreciation for their life and circumstances.
Our Annual Trip to Chautauqua
Our annual fall kick-off event, we travel to 
Chautauqua to reconnect and make plans for the year ahead. The weekend, for those in 6th through 12th grade, includes worship, fellowship, recreation and fun!
We Attend Mid-Winter Retreat, State Conventions, and
PeaceJam Conferences
In addition to meeting with each other, our youth gain so much from gathering with other like minded youth.
- At camp our students experience an intense encounter with God's Word as well as a time to build relationships with other Christian teens. They come away from their week inspired and filled with the Holy Spirit.
- The Mid Winter Retreat and the State Convention gives the kids a chance to reconnect with their camp friends and reignite the camp feeling during the winter.
- PeaceJam Conferences are an opportunity to meet Nobel Peace Prize winners and to present the Outreach Projects we did in our community.
