Mission Mondays at Disciples

The Summer Mission Monday project was a way to work together to do outreach in our community as well as some work right here at Disciples, while keeping our members connected and involved during the summer months. 

We spent four weeks tearing down an aging and dangerous playground and removing pick-up truck after pick-up truck full of landscaping pea gravel from the old playground site.  We also spent one evening at 2100 Lakeside , one singing for our friends at Edendale, and two working at Hope Gardens.

We averaged 25 people busy at work each Monday evening and - on our best day - had 35 engaged in projects.  We hope to bring Mission Mondays back next summer with new and different projects.
