Locally, we support the Heights Emergency Food Center that is housed in our building, Hope Gardens - a locally founded garden that provides fresh produce to Heights Emergency Food Center clients throughout the growing season, Cleveland Christian Home, the Interfaith Hospitality Network of Cleveland, and 2100Lakeside - a shelter for homeless men. We also host a monthly "Meet the Neighbors" Free Community Meal.

We support denominational international outreach ministries
such as Week of Compassion and Global Ministries.

We initiate our own mission trips - both those taken by our
Youth and those that are intergenerational such as our mission trip

to New Orleans in 2007 and our mission trip to Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 2008 to work on homes damaged by flooding earlier that year.

Our mission efforts are year round - even in the summer. During our Mission Mondays this Sumer, an average of 25 people came to work on projects at Disciples and in our community each week.

Our Outreach Ministry for Children is focused on both our church and our community throughout the year. Children make special things for our "Members-at-Home"; fourth and fifth grade chidlren volunteer in the Heights Emergency Food Center once a month; and we collect items and have fund-raisers to buy new items and games for the Cleveland Christian Home. The children also give an offering to the Disciples Week of Compassion Ministry that provides 24/7 disaster relief throughout the world.
