Madrigals and motets by Claudio Monteverdi, Heinrich Schütz, and Carlo Gesualdo.

Program includes Monteverdi's emotionally rich 'Lamento d'Arianna', from the sixth book of madrigals, his five-voice setting of the finale from his lost opera, 'Arianna'. Other highlights include Schütz's 'Die mid Traenen Säen' and 'So Fahr Ich His' and Gesualdo's 'Mille Volte il Di'.
